Prof. Nicola Gatti of Politecnico di Milano’s Dipartimento di Elettronica, Informazione e Bioingegneria has been appointed EurAI Fellow 2021.

The EurAI Fellows program was launched in 1999 to distinguish people who gave significant and lasting contributions to the field of artificial intelligence in Europe. The EurAI Fellows Program honors only a small number of researchers, up to a maximum of 3% of the European researchers in artificial intelligence. It is commonly considered the most prestigious European lifetime achievement award for artificial intelligence.

The appointment is motivated by the candidate’s established scientific achievements, assessed on the basis of clear evidence of excellence, including participation in top international conferences and publications on the most prestigious scientific journals. It is the first time that an academic from Politecnico di Milano has been appointed EurAI Fellow.
