Abstract

On September 16^th, 2026, at 11:30 am Marco Petri, PHD Student in Information Technology, will give a seminar on "A Short Introduction to Standpoint Logics" in DEIB, Carlo Erba Room (Building 7).

This seminar introduces recent developments in the study of lightweight multi-modal logics designed to represent and reason about knowledge drawn from multiple, potentially conflicting perspectives. Starting from the knowledge integration problem in Knowledge Representation, we introduce Standpoint Logic, a framework designed to integrate multiple conflicting bodies of knowledge. This session focuses specifically on introducing standpoints into propositional logic.
