Abstract
On September 24, 2026, the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering at Politecnico di Milano will host the conference “The Use of Artificial Intelligence in Medical Devices”, organised by Kiwa Italia in collaboration with the DEIB.
The event will explore the opportunities and challenges associated with the use of Artificial Intelligence in the medical device sector, a rapidly evolving field in which technological innovation, research, regulatory requirements and safety must advance hand in hand.
Bringing together experts from academia, industry and the certification sector, the conference will provide a multidisciplinary overview of the key issues surrounding the development and market introduction of AI-based medical devices. Topics will include the regulatory framework, the management and quality of health data, interoperability and equity in digital health, clinical evaluation, and the use of AI algorithms for data analysis.
