On March 5, 2025, at 4:45 PM, the Aula De Carli at the Bovisa Campus (Politecnico di Milano) will host the screening of Code the Road, a documentary that follows the journey of Team polimOve—part of the "performance" division of AIDA (Artificial Intelligence Driving Autonomous) dedicated to autonomous racing—at the Indy Autonomous Challenge. This international competition brings together university students from around the world to test their skills in programming autonomous vehicles.
Through exclusive footage and firsthand accounts, the film explores the engineering challenges of this ever-evolving field, highlighting the crucial role of artificial intelligence in autonomous driving and its ability to make real-time decisions.
The Indy Autonomous Challenge is not just a race; it is an experimental lab where young engineers tackle complex problems that even the industry's biggest companies have been trying to solve for years.
Following the screening, there will be a discussion with members of Team polimOve, giving the audience an opportunity to delve deeper into the technical and strategic aspects of the challenge. This will be a unique chance to engage with those working directly on these systems, understand the latest advancements in research, and discuss the future of autonomous mobility.
The event will conclude with a networking aperitif—an informal moment to exchange ideas and connect with students, researchers, and enthusiasts in the field.
Attendance is free, but registration is required at https://forms.office.com/e/wKCf65VpXc.
