Abstract
Urban Diagnostic is a model-based approach able to define through a rigorous qualitative and quantitative representation, the state of a system and its performance. we investigate urban context as a Complex Adaptive System analyses patterns of problems and malfunctioning conditions to infer the source of the problem. The identification of the cause or nature of malfunctioning condition or problems by systematic investigation makes our diagnostic work necessary for any effective transformation process. IMMdesignlab by a science based diagnostic approach provides to designers, local authorities, decision-makers and stakeholders a full understanding on how and why urban systems perform the way they do and a decision support tool for transformation actions aligned to the UN 2030 SDGs. IMM is a tool also able to quantify the effects of modifications in the various areas by performance indicators.
The seminar takes place within the activities of the DataCloud interdepartmental project.
