2.30 pm
On March 15th, 2019, at the Dipartimento di Elettronica, Informazione e Bioingegneria of the Politecnico di Milano, in the framework of the Digital Week event, organized by Comune di Milano, Prof. Andrea Aliverti will give a lecture with live demonstrations about “Human activity recognition by smartphones and wearables”.
Sensors such as accelerometers, gyroscope sand other devices such as microphone, illuminator and GPS module are integrated in the smartphone. These sensors and devices could provide easily and without dedicated devices a series of useful data to monitor the person's state of health: heart, breath, movement and physical activity. The lecture will be about these sensors, and the many possibilities of application development, with different architectures and modes. Moreover, it will be shown how the combination between motion sensors and physiological parameters allows to obtain a more complete assessment of the person during day and night.
The lecture will be in english.
For organizational matters, registration is required at the form.
