Abstract
A short introduction to topological compressions, discussing its advantages and what it could mean to summarise an object from a topological viewpoint. The exposition will focus on point clouds and the idea of homology (in algebraic topology) from a computational viewpoint.The NECSTLab is a DEIB laboratory, with different research lines on advanced topics in computing systems: from architectural characteristics, to hardware-software codesign methodologies, to security and dependability issues of complex system architectures.
