EvOoC Lab

Activities

EvOoC Lab (Evolving Organs on Chip) is an advanced research laboratory dedicated to the development of Organ-on-Chip technologies for in vitro modeling of human tissues and organs, with a particular focus on mechanical stimuli and their integration with biosensors.

Founded in 2023 within the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering at Politecnico di Milano through an ERC Starting Grant, the laboratory hosts a multidisciplinary team that brings together expertise in bioengineering, microfluidics, 3D cell cultures, advanced imaging, and artificial intelligence.

EvOoC Lab promotes an integrated and translational approach, collaborating with academic, clinical, and industrial partners for applications in pharmacology, personalized medicine, and mechanobiology. The laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art instruments for live imaging, cell manipulation, and functional characterization of biological models.
