On August 2011, Cesare Alippi won the "Oustanding service award" as Program co-Chair of the IEEE-INNS International Joint Conference on Neural Networks, held in San Jose' (California). The event was organized by the International Neural Network Society (INNS), and sponsored jointly by INNS and the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, the two leading professional organizations for researchers working in neural networks.
