Sommario
With the expansion of the IoT field, which often makes physical positioning of a device a non negligible information about a network, secure positioning can bring significant advantages in multiple environments, such as vehicular keyless entry and ignition systems or implementations in smart cities.
In this talk we present the main vulnerabilities of currently existing short and long range positioning systems, focusing on the techniques to modify the position of a device, and therefore the challenges that have to be tackled to provide secure positioning. Finally, we present patches and currently under development solutions to ensure secure positioning both with short and long range protocols.
