Hmaity Ali was born in 1989 in Casablanca (Morocco). He integrated Politecnico di Milano in 2007 and achieved his BSc degree in February 2011. In October 2014 he achieved his master degree, at Politecnico di Milano, working under the supervision of Prof. Achille Pattavina on “Energy Efficiency of Reliable IP-over-WDM Networks”.
In November 2014 he integrated the XXX Cycle Ph.D. program at Politecnico di Milano, working under the supervision of Prof. Massimo Tornatore. The main focus of his research are related to optical networks, with special focus on Survivability and reliability of the Next Generation Content Delivery Networks (NG - CDN).
Other research interests include Network Function Virtualization (NFV), Software Defined Networking (SDN) and machine learning.
