Abstract
Heterogeneous computing is a recent paradigm in computer science.
It is used in architectures that have more different types of computing units, and it aims at exploiting the capability of said units to obtain better energy efficiency and performances given different workloads.
In this context adaptability and reconfigurability of some platforms plays a key role in obtaining best efficiency in some use cases, but obtaining this is really costly from the design point of view.
The seminar will be based on a course held at ACACES summer school by prof. Hubner, and will give a quick introduction on the problem and focus the attention on some possible solution proposed by the research team of prof. Hubner that have been explained during the course.
