Dr. Luis Federico Leloir Prize

The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation of Argentina has awarded Carlo Ghezzi the prestigious "Dr. Luis Federico Leloir Prize". The prize is named after the outstanding Argentine biochemist Luis Federico Leloir (1906-1987), the first Argentine winner of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1970. As a renowned scientist, he worked for the international cooperation with Argentina throughout his life. In recognition of his efforts, the state of Argentina awards the Luis Federico Leloir Prize to important personalities for their engagement and merits associated with the promotion of the international scientific cooperation with Argentina.
