Ayse was born in Ankara, Turkey. She holds a BA degree in Economics and MSc degree in Industrial Design. During her graduate studies, she has focused on user-centered design, mainly on persuasive technology where she studied theories on behavior change from psychology literature. She has also worked as a user researcher at university and conducted studies for industry. After having work experiences in culture and arts sector, she has returned to academia. She started doing PhD in industrial design at Middle East Technical University. During this period, she has involved in several projects for design competitions and won several national/international awards with diverse projects. Later on, she has transferred her PhD to information technologies department in Politecnico di Milano where her research focuses on playful experiences for children with disabilities. Today, apart from her academic studies, she is also building her network in Milanese design through realizing interviews with successful designers living in Milan. Her articles are published in House Beautiful Turkey magazine. She is living in Milan since December 2014.
