William Fornaciari and Carlo Brandolese won the 2016 HiPEAC Technology Transfer Award with the project “Insurance Telematics for Reduced Cost of Ownership”. This is a special recognition from the most important European Network of Excellence that brings together over a thousand European players in the computing continuum arena from both academia and industry.
The project capitalizes on the FP7 CONTREX’s success story of the automotive use case led by Politecnico di Milano – DEIB. Here the best practices on embedded systems design for energy and power saving have been pushed to the limit, allowing uninterruptable operation of the devices and the application of the solutions in real products already during the project.
A special thanks goes to the entire COMPLEX team.
