Ashouri won the IEEE Computer Society Italy Section Chapter 2016 PhD Thesis Award

Abstract
Amir H. Ashouri, a DEIB PhD student, is one of the two winners (ex-aequo) of the IEEE Computer Society Italy Section Chapter 2016 PhD Thesis Award sponsored by ECCAI, the European Coordinating Committee for Artificial Intelligence.
The award is for his PhD Thesis, entitled "Compiler Autotuning Using Machine Learning Techniques", written under the supervision of DEIB professors Cristina Silvano and Gianluca Palermo and prof. John Cavazos, University of Delaware.
