Abstract
On June 5th, 2018, from 11.00 am at the Politecnico di Milano, the PoliCultura Day will be held in De Donato Room (Campus Leonardo). PoliCultura Day is the 11th Award Ceremony of the digital storytelling contest organized by HOCLAB.
Prof. Paolo Paolini and prof. Nicoletta Di Blas, PoliCultura coordinators, Prof. Giovanni Lozza, Dean of the 4th School of Engineering, Prof. Barbara Betti, Deputy of the 3rd School of Engineering, and Prof. Stefano Tubaro, Chair of the Dipartimento di Elettronica e Informazione and Prof. Andrea Francesco Castelletti, will participate at the event.
Thanks to PoliCultura, the Politecnico di Milano brings Technology in Italian Schools, where is too often used only marginally.
PoliCultura is an initiative of the HOC Laboratory of DEIB, which has proved of great importance for the effective introduction of technology in education at the national level, and which is one of the most important all over the world.
Since 2006 PoliCultura is involving the Italian schools, both primary and secondary schools, in the creation of multi-media and multi-channel narratives, using the 1001Storia engine, developed by the HOC Laboratory.
About 37,000 students (from kindergarten to high school) and more than 3,000 teacher had presented 1700 works on topics as diverse as history, physics, art, food. This is definitely the most important Italian experience for numbers and impact.
