Giorgia Baroffio, graduated in Computer Engineering at DEIB, is among the winners of the 27th Marisa Bellisario Award, in the "recently graduates" section.
The acknowledgment every year awards women who have distinguished themselves in the profession, in management, in science, in economy and in and social fields at national and international level.
Giorgia Baroffio graduated with Prof. Piero Fraternali with a thesis entitled Designing bots in GWAP. It is a project of analysis of the Human Computation Games, which presents a new approach for the design of automated players. Human Computation Games is a category of games that has often been proposed also to facilitate the gathering of information and data via the fun of online gamers, considering that nowadays much time is spent on the Web, and that most of the 40% of Internet users use online games.
