Mirko Gelsomini won the Rocca Fellowship.
Mirko will work at MIT in Boston to the project "Learning with a tele-operated story-telling robot companion in a preschool setting over repeated encounters" in the Personal Robots Group of the del MIT Media Lab supervised by Cynthia Breazeal.
The award is given every year in the context of the "Progetto Rocca" to PhD students working in the areas of materials science, mechanical engineering, bioengineering and life sciences, energy, electrical engineering and computer science.
The “Progetto Roberto Rocca” is a collaboration between MIT and Politecnico di Milano, funded by the Fondazione Fratelli Agostino e Enrico Rocca.
The project intends to foster academic exchanges and joint research, reinforcing existing collaborations between MIT and Politecnico and launching new ones.
