Artificial intelligence, robotics and computer vision

This research line integrates the activity in areas such as: Artificial Intelligence, Autonomous Agents, Computational Intelligence, Machine Learning, Robotics, and Computer Vision. The strongly multi-disciplinar work on these topics exploits the collaboration with researchers inside and outside the Department, faces both methodological and engineering aspects, and is aimed, among other, at: the implementation of autonomous agents (both robotic and SW), the intelligent analysis of data coming from physical sensors (including cameras) and different sources (including data mining), the definition of systems for automatic modeling, E-science, the definition of models of the interaction among agents (both human and artificial), decision support, knowledge representation and reasoning.
