Born in 1943, he received his Dr. Ing. degree in 1968 in electronic engineering from the Politecnico di Milano. Since 1986 he is full professor at the Politecnico di Milano. He is presently Dean of the Faculty of Engineering of Como (Politecnico di Milano). His research interests are focused on software engineering, programming languages and environments and multimedia application.
