Monica Nicoli, born in 1973, received the M.Sc. degree (1998, with honors) and the Ph.D. degree (2002) in Telecommunications Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, Italy. From September 1998 to March 1999 she worked at ENI-Divisione Agip (geophysics and geology research unit), San Donato Milanese (Milano), Italy. From March to August 2001 she was a visiting researcher at Signals and Systems, Uppsala University, Sweden. Since December 2002 she has been Assistant Professor. Her research interests are in signal processing for communication systems.
