Roberto Negrini was born in 1949. He graduated in Electrical engineering in 1974. Full professor since 1990 (since 1991 of Fondamenti di Informatica), he was an associate professor in 1983-1990. Chairman of the italian Chapter of the IEEE Computer Society, he is member of the European Advisory Board of the IEE Computer Society. He works in the field of computer architecture, with emphasis on architectures dedicated to image and signal processing, and multimedia techniques.
