Valerio Panzica La Manna is a PHD Student at the Department of Electronics and Information of Politecnico di Milano.
In May 2010, he obtained the Master Of Science in Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Chicago. In December 2009 he graduated cum laude at Politecnico di Milano, with the thesis "Service Selection Strategies for Open World Software Systems" (advisor: Prof. Carlo Ghezzi).
He was the reference person of the project "A Simple Pacemaker Implementation", winner project in the category Formal Methods for SCORE 2009 : International Student Contest on Software Engineering. The finals were in Vancouver (Canada), in May '09, during ICSE '09: International Conference of Software Engineering.
He is currently attending the Ph.D. program in the DEEPSE (DEpendable Evolvable Pervasive Software Engineering) group under the project SMSCom. His current research interests include Software Adaptation and Evolution, with a particular focus on QoS Driven dynamic service reconfiguration and on-line Software Update.
