Andrea Zanchettin was born in Cremona (Italy) in 1983. He received the Master of Science cum laude in Computer Science Engineering at Politecnico di Milano in April 2008, presenting the thesis "Theoretical and experimental analysis of the control system of an asynchronous machine for a domestic washing machine" (advisor professor Paolo Rocco). From June to Dicember 2008, he was beneficiary of a research grant in the context of the research field "Control of mechanical systems with low resolution sensors". At the moment he is a PhD student in Information Technology at Politecnico di Milano, XXIV cycle. His reasearch interests are about automation, motion control and robotic systems.
