Amir Molzam Sharifloo (born in 1985) is a PhD student in the Department of Informatics and Electrical Engineering of Politecnico di Milano. Since 2009 he is with DeepSE research group, where he has been collaborating in two European projects: SMSCom and Q-Impress. He is interested in a wide range of software engineering research areas, but nowadays the emergent area of self-adaptive systems is his main research concentration. The application of Model Checking techniques and Artificial Intelligence for software engineering problems is another area he is looking into.
Before starting PhD, he did some research on Software Architecture and Agile Methods, Ultra Large Scale Systems, and Semantic Web, which were partially published in some mainstream conferences like XP2008. He also won SUMO Prize 2007 with his teammates for developing the best knowledge-base under SUMO upper ontology.
