The Move research group, directed by Sergio Savaresi, recently presented important results of the research conducted on the vehicles of the future for the short and medium range mobility and on the new stability control system for motorbike.
The BIKE+ and Hambry projects, presented at the Rimini Meeting, express innovative concepts and advanced technology: they are about two vehicles, a bicycle and a sort of flying carpet, small, electric, energy-efficient, intelligent and interacting with portable digital devices. Instead, the new electronic stability control system for motorbike, presented at the World Congress of the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC), provides 50% reduction of falls due to the instability of the motorbike. The system has just been patented and is expected to enter the market in 3 / 4 years.
