After winning the Finals I2P Competition Italy 2010 last June, with the project EmoticaGames Simone Tognetti and Maurizio Garbarino have achieved the second place at the Startcup Milano Lombardia (http://www.startcupml.net) and the third place at the worldwide competition Idea 2 Product Global (http://www.ideatoproduct.org).
EmoticaGames is a HW/SW system for the analysis of physiological data in order to detect the emotional state of persons with a first application in the field of videogames.
The two DEI PhD Students, coordinated by Andrea Bonarini and Matteo Matteucci, have developed a "gaming device" that through the mapping of emotions allows a videogame to create personalized experiences always different and funnier: for example dynamically changing the path in a videogame machine, or by choosing the questions in a quiz game.
