Sommario
The speech introduces General Electric and Avio Aero. GE is a global diversified company that massively invests on IT as a strategic component and part of its businesses. It also discusses the most impactful IT initiatives for the present and the future of the company, such as Industrial Internet.
Industrial Internet integrates complex physical machinery with networked sensors and software. The industrial Internet draws together fields such as machine learning, big data, the Internet of things, machine-to-machine communication and Cyber-physical system to ingest data from machines, analyze it (often in real-time), and use it to adjust operations.
