Sommario
A common way to reduce costs in embedded systems is to accommodate more functionalities over the same physical platform. In optimal real-time control codesign, the aim is to jointly design control (eg feedback gain) and real-time features (eg sampling period, task priorities, etc), such that real-time constraints are met and the overall control performance is maximized. Addressing the same problem over distributed and multicore systems poses open challenges (optimal partitioning, optimal resource allocation, etc).
