Sommario
Reliability availability and safety aspects are to be included in the design phases of complex projects. Railway and Oil and Gas project developments require the involvement of safety standards like the IEC61508 or IEC61511 and the EN50126 50128 and 50129. Such standards need a good statistical knowledge and therefore in this seminar the basic probability, reliability, availability concepts will be recalled to merge them with the basics of safety design. IEC61508 standard and basic safety configurations will be analysed and compared with case studies.
