Sommario
As time progresses, the need to make decisions based on the data received (i.e. what happens) in that very moment is largely increasing.
This is one of the reasons why exploiting tools that perform real-time analysis and processing of huge amounts of data is becoming more and more of common usage. Among such tools, stream processing engines are facing a great development and a fast spread.
Apache Flink (former Stratosphere) was born at Technische Universität Berlin from a strong theoretic background and is now in the spotlight of many companies and universities thanks to its great results and breakthroughs.
This seminar will guide you through the main concepts about Flink and its internals (e.g. fault-tolerance, windowing and time) with a strong focus on its streaming engine.
