Workshop on Products for energy-aware data and processes in service oriented software environments
On June 12th, 2012, in the streamline of "Reduce Global Energy Intensity" in particular, energy efficient products, a workshop on "Products for energy-aware data and processes in service oriented software environments" will be held at the Dipartimento di Elettronica e Informazione of the Politecnico di Milano, Conference Room, starting from 10.00 am.
The event will present energy-efficient tools and products being developed in the GAMES (Green Active Management of Energy in IT Service centers). Tools include monitoring for energy efficiency of data centres, a Knowledge Base of Green Performance Indicators, adaptation tools allowing adjusting levels of quality of service to current energy needs, and other service oriented software. With such tools, data centres are expected to increase incrementally their energy efficiency and reducing their global carbon footprint by up to 25%, while not deteriorating their overall performance levels, ultimately contributing at large to effectively solve the problem of the greening of the ICT.
The full program of the event is here attached.
