Abstract:

Nowadays, electric traction technology has proven to be the key towards sustainable mobility. However, electric vehicles have the main limitation in the limited range and duration of the accumulators used to store energy. It is therefore strategic in the development of electric vehicle technology the reliability of the batteries, and more generally the management of incoming and outgoing energy flow from them. This work is focused on the design of a low-cost acquisition board to monitor voltage, current and temperature of lithium cells, in order to allow the characterization of batteries in terms of aging and consequent degradation of their performance for different operating conditions.
