Emanuele Tresoldi (Cassano d’Adda 1981) completed his undergraduate studies in computer science at Università degli Studi di Milano with a thesis on operations research: “Optimization algorithms for data transmission planning and scheduling problems in ESA's mars express space mission” (master degree award AIRO 2008). In 2012 at the same university he also obtained his Ph.D. in computer science with focus on operations research with a thesis titled: “Location and routing problems: an unified approach”. He spent two years in RSE’s research lab (Ricerca sul Sistema Energetico) working on mathematical models and optimization algorithms for the electricity market.
Since January 2014 he is a post-doc researcher at Dipartimento di Elettronica, Informazione e Bioingegneria, Politecnico di Milano. Here he is working on mathematical modeling, linear and discrete optimization with a particular focus on applications of operation research in different aspects of the transportation field.
