Guido Baroni has a Master degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano (1993) and has obtained a PhD degree in Bioengineering in 1999 on movement biomechanics in microgravity. Since 2001, he is Assistant Professor at the Department of Bioengineering of the Politecnico di Milano. He teaches Technologies for Computer Assisted Surgery to Biomedical Engineering master students. He is elected member of the Scientific Committee of the Dept. of Bioengineering and is responsible of student admissions at the master level in Biomedical Engineering. At present, he is the responsible of the Computer Aided Radiotherapy (CART) laboratory. He is co-author of about 30 peer reviewed international papers in the field of movement biomechanics and opto-electronic technologies application in radiosurgical navigation and is responsible of the project Computer Aided Patient Positioning for the Centro Nazionale di Adroterapia Oncologica.
