Filippo Piatti was born in 1989. He obtained the Bachelor degree of Biomedical Engineering in September 2011 at Politecnico di Milano, focusing on the computational reconstruction from CT-scans of the human tracheo-bronchial tree. Afterwards he graduated in July 2014 at Politecnico di Milano, receiving a Master degree in Biomedical Engineering. The master thesis work focused on the development of a fluid-structure interaction model for the thrombogenic characterization of a prototypal polymeric aortic valve, and it was developed in collaboration with the Biofluids Lab of Stony Brook University (NY, USA). Currently enrolled as a PhD researcher at Biomechanics Group (Politecnico di Milano – DEIB dept.), he focuses on the field of “Computational fluid dynamic analysis” of cardiovascular devices.
