IBM Faculty Awards 2015 for Quintarelli and Boracchi

Abstract
Elisa Quintarelli and Giacomo Boracchi have received two IBM Faculty Awards 2015.
The IBM Faculty Awards is a competitive worldwide program intended to foster collaboration between researchers at leading universities worldwide and those in IBM research, development and services organizations.
IBM will fund Elisa Quintarelli's research which aims at investigating and developing a methodology for supporting effective analysis of journalistic texts and blogs, by using data mining and, in general, machine learning techniques.
Giacomo Boracchi will investigate, in a sponsored collaboration with TJ Watson Lab, novel image-analysis algorithms that can automatically assess the recovery from brain injuries/concussion and monitor the progression of neurodegenerative conditions like Huntington's disease.
