Andrea Annoni won the Best Junior Carassa Award 2016

Abstract
Andrea Annoni, DEIB PhD student (XXIX ciclo), working at Photonic Devices Group, won one of the three "Best Junior Carassa Award 2016" assigned to the Annual GTTI Meeting.
The research comes from a collaboration between the Photonic Devices Group coordinated by Prof. Andrea Melloni and the I3N Group (Innovative Integrated Instrumentation for the Nanoscience) lead by Prof. Marco Sampietro.
The project was realized thanks to the European project FP7 BBOI, coordinated by the Photonic Devices Group.
GTTI established an annual Award in recognition of the best PhD Theses defened at an Italian University in the areas of Communications Technologies.
The Theses are evaluated by a Committee (to be renewed every year) whose members are distinguished Professors and non-academic experts in the field.The research comes from a collaboration between the Photonic Devices Group coordinated by Prof. Andrea Melloni and the I3N Group (Innovative Integrated Instrumentation for the Nanoscience) lead by Prof. Marco Sampietro.
