In 1945, Bottani established the “Centro di Studio sui Modelli Elettrici” (Center for the Study of Electrical Models). In doing so he was helped by Luigi Dadda, a young electrical engineer. The first news from overseas about programmable electronic computers had just reached Italy, where there was no expertise on the subject yet.
